Giving Children in the Western Isles the Best Start in Life is the Priority for Our Early Years Team

We support nurseries and childcare providers throughout the islands who aim to provide the best quality services for our young children, led by skilled and knowledgeable staff and based in caring and nurturing settings.

We work together with our multi-agency partners through the Early Years Partnership to take forward the targets set out in the Current Early Years Action Plan.  By aiming to improve children’s early experiences, identify those at risk of low achievement and support families and communities to meet children’s needs, we hope to break the cycles of poverty and inequality.
