Just a general query in regards to Penalty Charge Notices (PCN’s) issued by the councils. I am just wanting to know what the process is in regards to informal appeals. Once an informal appeal has been lodged against a particular PCN and has either been rejected or the appeal has been successful , what is the process after this? Would we receive email confirmation outlining if our appeal has been successful? Also what is the process in then lodging a formal appeal against a PCN.
The Comhairle does not issue PCN’s – in this locality we have not gone through the decriminalisation process so matters continue to be dealt with by the Police in the usual way. You may wish to contact Police Scotland and request the information as held by them.
