One response was received from North Tolsta Community Council opposing the proposal to remove the call box as:

  1. There are residents without access to a landline.
  2. There is no mobile phone reception in North Tolsta.
  3. The nearest public telephone is seven miles away.
  4. The telephone kiosk provides an option in the event of an emergency

We did – respond to BT Telecommunications and the Minister objecting to the proposal to remove the public call box for the reasons stated by North Tolsta Community Council.
