We asked for feedback from the general public about interest in Community Based Adult Learning (CBAL) classes, including the type of topics people are interested in learning about and in which geographical areas they would attend classes. The aim of the questionnaire is to help us better target resources to meet demand.
The questionnaire was made available in both electronic and hardcopy between August and December 2019. In total 171 responses were received.
We are currently working through all the responses received and aim to publish a report summarising the key outcomes by the end of April 2020. This report will be made available via the CnES website, the Community Learning Hebrides Facebook page, and in hardcopy at shops and community venues around Lewis and Harris.

Adult learning offers learning opportunities in communities
Why We Are Consulting
Information sourced directly from people throughout the Western Isles helps us to provide classes and workshops that people would like to attend in their own communities. Part of our consultation also helps us identify skills and potential tutors.
What Happens Next
All the results, both postal and from the link, will be analysed by the Adult Learning team and the results will be shared with Community Learning and Development. This joint working helps to target needs based learning and provide classes to areas.
