Adult Learning

Adult Education is a key element of Community Education. This type of learning may be community based or within institutions of Further Education.

Community Education in partnership with a range of learning providers plays a major role in providing adult learning opportunities within community settings. These adult learning opportunities can be classified into the following two categories:

• Adult Literacy and Numeracy provision delivered through the Western Isles Learning Shop
• Community Learning Hebrides
