October Motiv8 (Lewis and Harris)

October Motiv8 Activities in Lewis and Harris

'Supporting children and young people’s physical activity'

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar’s Sport and Health section provides a sports activity programme ‘Motiv8’ for pre-school and primary aged children. The programme sets out to offer children the opportunity to develop the fundamentals of movement which are the building blocks for all future athletic development; they are: agility, balance, co-ordination & speed. The activities we offer also provide opportunities for children to develop skills such as resilience, determination, focus and wider learning through positive social interactions.

Please take time to look at our sports/activity descriptors to make sure you are aware of the sport/activity on offer.

Children with additional support needs (ASN) are as always, welcome at our events, so please make us aware of any medical issues to ensure that your child’s sporting experience is a positive and fun one.

We recommend that for any of our activities all participants must be dressed appropriately for all weathers, bring sun cream (if required) and water bottle.

To book a place use the Lewis or Harris sports centre app.  Please can you make sure you have completed the Sport and Health medical information form this should be completed at the time of booking.  Participants must complete the form yearly (unless details provided change within that year). It is important that Sport and Health have this information if your children are participating in any of our activities.
