Nomination Categories

The criteria for this award require the nominee to have made a significant voluntary contribution as an administrator, coach, or official to local sport over an extended period. The award cannot be presented to a competitor, performer, team, or club, nor to an employee of a local authority or similar agency whose contribution is part of their paid employment.

This award is selected by the ClubSport Lewis and Harris Office Bearers (Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary).

ClubSport is inviting nominations from affiliated clubs and organisations that have developed or enhanced their activities over the past year(s). If you believe your club meets this criteria, please complete the nomination form.

The Community Coach Award will be presented to a coach who has supported the development of athletes or teams, primarily over the age of 18, and has significantly increased sporting opportunities and participation levels within their community.

The Young Person’s Coach Award recognises a coach who has made an exceptional contribution to the introduction and early development of sport for young people under the age of 18.

The Young Coach Award is given to a coach who has made a notable contribution to coaching young people under the age of 18.
