Comhairle nan Eilean Siar’s Trading Standards team is offering “No Uninvited Salespeople” stickers to support members of the public in deterring doorstep cold callers

The warning stickers reading “No Uninvited Salespeople” can be collected from Council Offices and displayed in householder’s windows.  

The stickers are available at no cost from the following offices:

  • CnES Council Offices - Stornoway (Lewis).
  • CnES Council Offices - Tarbert (Harris).
  • CnES Council Offices - Balivanich (Benbecula).
  • CnES Council Offices - Castlebay (Barra).

Doorstep sellers ignoring the displayed signage may be committing an offence and should be reported to Trading Standards on 01851 822694 or the Police on 101.
