Overview

The Scottish Government introduced mandatory licensing for short-term lets in January 2022.  They have provided detailed guidance for Short term lets - licensing scheme part 1: guidance for hosts and operators on their website.  Further information including how to check if you require a licence is also available on the Scottish Government's about short-term let licences webpage.

Application Process

To start your application process, please go to Documents & Forms, where you will find the application form and associated documents to complete and submit. You can find further details under Application Guidance on what information is required in order to complete the application process. We are unable to process your application without the appropriate fee being paid. We will then contact you with an update on your application status. Please note that all fees are non refundable once applications are received and processed. Please do not send original documents as we are unable to return them.

We are currently working to restoring the online application form and will advise when this is available in the near future.
