Sports Activities for pre-school and primary school children

Term 1: August - October 2025

Sport and Health are happy to announce that our sports activity classes will be commencing week beginnning 18th August 2025 in the Lewis Sports Centre. These classes are to be booked the same way as they were last term and must be booked weekly. Every Friday at 12 Noon spaces for the following week will be released on our booking app CnES Sports facilities.  

Bookings open on Friday 15 August at 12 noon.

All 45 min sessions are £4.20 or £2.20 for members, Mini Kickers/Sports £3.40 or £1.70 for members is 30 mins.

Participants must bring suitable indoor kit, and water.

Sports Descriptors

Sessions are designed for Primary 5 to 7 children to develop basketball skills through focused drills and enjoyable games at the Lewis Sports Centre. Children will build technique, confidence and teamwork in a fun, safe and supportive environment.
 

Sessions are designed for Primary 1 to 3 children to develop running, jumping, and coordination skills at the Lewis Sports Centre.
Children will take part in targeted drills and fun games, all within a safe and encouraging environment.
 

Sessions are aimed at Primary 1 to 3 girls, helping them develop football skills through specific drills and small-sided games at the Lewis Sports Centre. Children will learn and grow in a fun and safe environment, building confidence and teamwork on the pitch.
 

These sessions are designed for Primary 1 to 4 children, offering a fun and safe introduction to gymnastics at the Lewis Sports Centre.
Children will build core gymnastics skills and explore new, sport-specific movements through engaging activities.

Sessions introduce 3 to 4 year olds (pre-school children) to fundamental coordination and movement skills used across all sports, at the Lewis or Harris Sports Centre. Children will explore active play in a fun, safe environment that supports early physical development and confidence.
 

Sessions are designed for Primary 5 to 7 children to develop squash skills through targeted drills and engaging games at the Lewis Sports Centre. Children will improve technique, agility and coordination in a fun, safe and supportive environment.
